Exhale, Nesty Mc Gee
Well, almost. This weekend we (well, mostly Randy) finally cleaned up the rooms and got things in order! Before the baby is here! I am so excited. I know I have been ranting on and on about this project for months so I had to post the (almost) finished product. Thanks so much to my MOM who sewed the curtains, sashes, crib skirt, bumper and did so much work helping us to put this together! Thanks to ERIK who helped us paint. And the hugest thanks to my HUSBAND who put up with this project for five straight months. We now may just have a weekend without house work. Holy Crap! I even earned a new nickname through this process, "nesty mcgee" because Randy claims I have been and still am nesting with regards to this whole ordeal. We still need to hang the wall art and a few window treatments, but hey, it feels like we are done because we can actually use these rooms! Now, it is just time to wait til baby Setsma shows up.....

Lots Going On!
Well it has been a very eventful week in our household:
A very close family friend went to be with Jesus this week. Friday night was visitation and Saturday the funeral. It was very sad, good to see old friends and it gave me joy knowing Mr. Elling is in heaven with his Creator. He was such an amazing man and such a good example for all.
I went to the doctor on Thursday and I am progressing! Crazy! 80% effaced (still kind of unsure what that really means, but hey, it means that labor is coming sooner than later) and I am dialated to 1 cm. This is quite the shocker since I have felt no contractions (to my knowledge) and was secretly hoping for a "no progress" first check up. I need at least 2.5 more weeks!!!
The second bedroom is one coat of touch up paint short of being DONE! Rand worked like a dog again this weekend and we are almost almost finished with this fiasco!
I went to a friend's baby shower... we are due within 2 weeks of each other. Crazy! Lots of pregnancy stories (frightful and funny, i might add). It was fun to catch up with my college buddies. Always a few good laughs there!
Today Rand made profession of faith at church. What a blessing! Although he has had a commitment to Christ for over 14 years, he said it publicly today and I am so proud of him!
We also finally joined Seymour. Me and the big belly and all. My my it sure is fun trying to "dress up" to go to church these days. NOT!
This week is going to involve a large list of "nesting" activities. Since I do have progress, I figure we better go out and buy that infant car seat. Oh yeah, and do the taxes, and get some food in the house and do some baby laundry. Like I said, I need a few more weeks, baby! But we are getting so excited... I can't believe we are going to be parents. Is this really real??!!!
